You have a good voicd Aanya…. it just needs more direction. Pitching is the main issue. While recording, make sure you are able to hear the karaoke/pitch clearly while singing. I am sure you can improve…. keep singing & posting more songs.

Not bad at all, Aanya.

All the experts have told you what to work on. Your voice quality is nice. Just a few niggles that practice and some ‘take a deep breath and just sing’ attitude will handle!

Don’t be nervous when you sing. You cannot get a better place for really well-meaning advice than here on muziboo.

-’s:You start off good…then you go wary on the pitch….you should pay more attention to the pitching…… Esply while going up….and of course practice…….you will get there….

Welcome to Muziboo! Nice attempt to a wonderful song. Enjoyed your version. You have a very good, sweet voice. Pitching would improve as you practice more and more singing together with the original song trying to match every note, especially the higher notes. To improve breathing initially note down breathing places in the original song and try to use the same in your rendition as far as possible. It saves numbers of trial and errors on this count :)

About your questions on audacity: You can alter the pitch, speed and tempo in audacity. However as far as possible it’s better not to change them because it affects the quality of original K-track. Still some times we need to use pitch changing for certain K-Tracks. I do not know which version u r using but generally the options are under the pull down menu “Effect Tab” and are quite straight forward to pitch up or down. Try it and let me know if you have any problem….
About effects: There are Demos available on the Web. Search in google for Audacity Demo Utube, etc.
I too am not an expert in mixing and use only amplification and echo learnt by Trial and Error.

You have a very sweet voice. Lovely singing too. Need to concentrate on getting the notes in the right pitch… Also bring in more steadiness in the vocals… These can be achieved only by constant and dedicated practice (Riyaaz)
