Hello All, New to this forum - Need Help
Aanya v posted
I am new to this forum.
I wanted some good software to make an mp3 into a Karaoke music for which I can sing and record like everybody is doing here in muziboo.
How is everybody in this forum doing that?
I downloaded Audacity and I tried splitting the mp3 and then inverting the bottom one and then making them solo and then exporting it back to mp3 file. But then I can still hear the vocal voice in my new mp3. How to make a karaoke music without the original vocal and instead mix ours? I tried searching the forum/group but I cannot find anywhere that explains this process to a new user.
PLease let me know.
Thank you.
Aanya

which track? a lot of stuff u might look for could be procured (illegit sources most oft) on the www.
If not, why not collaborate with Muzibiians here to create some awesome original work altogether? Put up a post inviting musicians to collab & kick off the project! :)

Inorder to do this, you must have a good sound editing program which handles vst plugins.I suggest wavepad sound editor.
Install it.Then, download the plugin named, ‘voice trap v2.0’and install it after unziping.open wavepad sound editor and choose the song. Then, select Vst and select the folder which contain the plugin.Apply the effects and it is done! This even works better than any of the leading vocal removing softwares.

The phase cancellation technique you are talking about is going to end up removing all frequencies that’ve been mixed equally in both channels. So depending on the mix you might or might not get what you are looking for. It typically removes (lead) vocals as it is often mixed equally in both channels. Well, at least in theory. In reality you wouldn’t get a clean karaoke track because there is going to be some leftover artifacts from the reverb etc. that was applied to the vocals. In short, there isn’t a clean way to remove vocals from a given track.
Your best option is going to be to either reconstruct the track or buy a commercial karaoke version of the song.
