Bomba Reign, a.k.a. Billion $$ Bomba, Deva Reign The Dark Angel, Bruised Way-In, Drax The Night Assassin, and Da Madd Bomba, was born Deva Reign, on a cold winter afternoon on January 1st, 1975 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Downtown Baltimore Maryland to mother Sheila Lavern Hawkins Johnson and father unknown at 1:25pm. Bomba grew up in the inner city streets of Baltimore Maryland in Murphy Holmes Projects. Shortly after a traumatic fire incident leaving Bombas grandparents one bedroom apartment in ashes and flames, he and his family of mother and older sister Shenean Lee, began moving from place to place from Park Heights, to Emerson Village, to North Avenue and Green Mount, where he sat down and wrote his first rap song at the early age of 10. Bomba, grew up as a middle child and only son of three siblings, never met his father neither in childhood nor in his adult life. The stage name Bomba came from his favorite cartoon character in 1989 from Batman The Animated Series. There was a character named: The Madd Bomber which took to his fancy enough to change his pseudonymous name from King Deva to Da Madd Bomba. Deva Reign a.k.a. Bomba Reign, became professional recording artist at age 14, where he declined his first professional recording contract from Hollywood records due to mothers religious beliefs as a Jehovahs Witness. Bomba was raised with in many religious faiths from Christianity, to Baptist, and then finally to Jehovahs Witness where never knew what it was like to be a normal child and celebrate holidays such as: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, or even his very own Birthday for that matter. Bomba Reign a.k.a Billion $$ Bomba a.k.a Da Madd Bomba whose real name is Deva Reign was born on January 1st, 1975 in Baltimore, MD. Grew up in Murphy homes projects in the inner city of Baltimore. Later on moved to Emmerson village and North Avenue where he wrote his first rap song at the early age of 10. Deva grew up as a middle child and only son of Sheila Glover. Hes never met his father either in childhood or adulthood life. Deva has 2 siblings, sisters. The stage name Bomba came from a cartoon animated series Batman in 1989. There was a character named The Madd Bomber which took Deva’s fancy. Deva Reign became professional recording artist at age 14. At the same age he got his first recording contract from Hollywood records. In 1990 Da Madd Bomba met and performed for MC Lyte in Baltimore, MD. There, MC Lyte told Bomba that he was definitely on the right track and that he should pursue his career even further by coming to New York city and meeting with her record label. In 1993 Bomba graduated from Eastern Tech High School with a major egree in electronics and minor in business administration. Deva Reign a.k.a Bomba Reign a.k.a Billion $$ Dollar Bomba studied business administration at Morgan State University in 1994. The song Madd Money from the 1st album was written as an inspiration theme song for Bomba to raise money for his college tuition. His 1st album The Mark of The Beast/Destruction of Dark was recorded while he was attending Morgan State University under the name of Madd Bomba. At age 21, Deva moved to CA, Los Angeles where he pursued his music career and became successful as president and CEO of Reign Records. In 1999 Bomba met PB III and recorded such hits as Ride with me, Night Stalk, Joy and Laughter which are the songs from the 1st album. Nothing has been easy for Bomba and life has been putting numeral obstacles on his way. Hes survived 3 nearly fatal car accidents while recording his 1st album. Also in 1999 Deva opened his own company Reign Records which was incorporated in the year 2000. From 1999-2000 struggling to survive while recording the 1st album Bomba went homeless. At those times hes been writing a lot of songs such as Swift Justice , Night Stalk, Joy and Laughter which reflect that difficult period of his life. Bomba has been travelling all over the world, being on tour for 14 years. Bomab has also lived in Japan for some time where he studied martial arts of Aikido from 2001 till 2004. During that time of his life he got the most valuable lessons from his aikido teacher. To show his devotion to The way of Samurai he got a tattoo DRAX* on his shoulder which means Deva Reign Aikido 10 *. In 2002 in spite of all the difficulties and obstacles Bomba recorded 6 soundtracks for Michael Jordan’s movie To the Max. In the same year he recorded another 6 soundtracks for the movie The Replacements starring Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman. A while after in the same year of 2002 Bomba was arrested for signing autographs on tour promoting his 1st album at Venice Beach, CA for allegedly impersonating himself. Later Bomba was proven innocent of all charges and was awarded settlement out of court for the false arrest. In 2002 Bomba launched his own clothing line Bombawear. In 2004 Bomba recorded his 2nd album The album that sold 10 million copies. The album includes such hits as Doves cry- the video for which was shot in Japan (Tokyo), Chocolate papi which was inspired by Bombas past relationships, Telephone Love which actually contains real voice messages from his ex girlfriends. Bomba Reign writes, produces, edits, directs all the videos himself. Hes been successfully on tour from 1996 till 2007. Also in 2004 Bomba directed, edited, produced, starred in his 1st movie Bomba Reign Live and Uncut. Vol 1 which is available online and on DVD. Deva has spent most of his life learning the music business and recording the albums while touring with Master Melle Mel, Prince Whipper Whip and some other great people. In 2005 Bomba was arrested again for DUI but the case was shortly dismissed by the district attorney of CA. In 2007 after a mental and nervous breakdown from a loss of a lucrative recording contract Bomba Reign joined the US Navy. Currently Bomba is working on his 3rd album which is almost ready. Hes also working on his 2nd movie Bomba Reign Live and Uncut. Vol.2 Hes planning to get back on tour again, hes still the president and CEO of Reign Records. Hes also a member of SAG and ASCAP. Bomba Reign is a very talented rapper, director, editor and just a really creative man with a great percerveance.Homepage:
