No, I am not going to further judge Dr Saxena for what he did. It goes without saying that his actions were condemnable for which he has already been taken to task.

I, on the other hand would like to comment on what eventuated and how people seemingly tried to settle old scores. I resisted the urge to comment on the sordid and insolent happenings on muziboo which I stumbled upon while searching for some songs, but some of the stuff people wrote sounded so wrong that I ended up making an account just to speak my heart.

Who am I you ask? Well, I am another music lover like all of you, an ex-esnipper who would soon be joining lafango. I was there on esnips during its infancy when it was a social networking site with sackloads of music (before it degenerated into an ugly file hosting/sharing website). Old esnippers might be knowing me. So, for objectivity’s sake, I shall not reveal my name. I don’t want people to skew their opinion in my favor (that’s if they ever read this post) just because they know me from somewhere. I want people to shun all subjectivities/biases/negativities while reading this.

Disclaimer: I don’t know any of the people involved, except that I have heard (or is it “listened to”) their work.

I read all the posts that were there when Rahul and Azam had not removed their accounts so please don’t assume that I am basing my opinion on the remnants of those discussions. Yes I read it all…the whole nine yards, in all its glory. What I did not read was Nalini Goel’s comments as they were already removed. But how bad were they? Did s/he cuss your loved ones? Hurl abuses at your parents? Or did his/her remarks about the quality of your vocals/surr tick you off? In either case the situation doesn’t change but the victims do have my sympathies if it was the former.
Coming back to the task at hand….how people tried poisoning eveyone’s minds under the garb of community values, united we stand, muziboo solid as a rock when it comes to miscreants, cleaning the backyard…blah blah blah.

Sridhar was at fault. I give you that. Burn him at the stake. But whose idea was it to incite people to block/ban Tahy and all those still associated with Sridhar (or Tahy if he didn’t break allegiance with Sridhar). Harshan was it you, or was it Rahul? Block Saxena and his friends and friends of friends? I wonder how deep the tiers go. Friends of friends of friends and those who occasionally wave at the friends of friends of friends? Huh? and their neighbors too? My crazy side surfacing, down boy down. Focus.

Let me show you Harshan (and Rahul, if you still are eavesdropping on muziboo happenings) on how many counts you are totally out of whack.

Harshan, are you familiar with the concept of “guilt by association”?….the attribution of guilt to people just because they are associated with those who are guilty…This is the reason behind countless persecutions/genocides/murders in the world. And you were trying to do exactly that, by pushing people into a collective guilt and “persecuting” them (minus the killing as I am sure you are not capable of that from behind a PC screen:)).

Do you know what mob mentality means? A mob, while looting, torching, vandalizing or harming others is more often than not free of guilt as it is their collective decision. No individiual in the mob thinks that they are guilty as all of them are in it together. Both you and Rahul were doing that…trying to get other members of muziboo on your side. Muzaffar Sahab for instance (Muzaffar Sahab, how on earth did you let these people get the better of you? It surprises me why you couldn’t call their bluff. I respect you immensely for your contribution to esnips and I am sure they made their move while you were disoriented due to your dog’s illness). Anyway. So Harshan/Rahul you tried to act like a mob.

Bullies? Hell Yes. All the classic attributes of bullies were there in your behavior. Making fun of people’s lack of adeptness at a foreign language (Rahul and others on Tahy’s English), age (Rahul commenting on Azam’s being 40 and rolling), looks (Rahul saying that he is cuter than Azam), Past life (Harshan blackmailing Azam about something that might have happened on tarana website). Come to think of it, reading Rahul’s comment was reminiscent of reading the thoughts of a 10 year old (with some humor here and there). Dear Rahul, if you don’t die at the age of 39 years, 11 months and 29/30 days, you too will be 40 someday. That’s how the world has been going on since eons. Some are born earlier than you and some after. Some die before you and some after. Learn to deal with it.

Now lets see on what counts Azam was guilty.
Chihuahua…yes. Azam said that and it was totally wrong of him. But at the same time, considering all that he went through, it is commendable too that the best he could come up with was a “Chihuahua”. I am kidding. Calling anyone a chihuahua is wrong.

Tahy…well he tried to clarify his situation as best as he could but his ineptness at English gave everyone a chance to make him sound like the village idiot. He might be a charlatan, he might be a real monster, but in this particular situation my sympathies are with him.

There were voices of reason…Anirban, Latha, VIdhya, Mustufa who tried to knock some sense into people…but I wonder why there weren’t more….

Phew. I can go on and on with this. But let me give myself and you guys a break.
I bid you farewell and hope you’d take away something positive from my rant.

P.S. Harshan, do me a favor. Please change your display pic. Each time I look at it I get this urge to see the effect of switching the position of your sunglasses and moustaches. Its just so distracting for me…aarrghhhhh crazy side surfacing again.
