Ae Je Nodi - Bengali Song Cover by Arvind!!. (Thanks Harshan for your suggestion and track!)
Ae Je Nodi - Bengali Song C... Lyrics & Chords
I should not have teased Harshan in his recent Bengali rendition!. He immediately suggested a Kishore da song and said it would suit me. He sent the track yesterday and I tried it the same night … and I think I may have adopted my own style and hopefully the lyrics are making sense!. That’s the best I could decipher with the help of internet lyrics.
Kishore da original song is slower in tempo and much more expressive obviously … I started singing it pretty soon and realised I was no way gonna come anywhere near Kishore … so I just went for the recording pretty soon.
Here it is … an impulsive recording after a long time … and thanks Harshan for your encouragement.
This is my first non-tamil song here … and that too Bengali … I was planning to do a Hindi one but life is funny, isn’t it!.
Leave your comments freely. Thanks folks.

Holy cow !!! this was at jet speed……great rendition in your own style Arvind…I am still learning it.
There could be some diction issues always, hats off to your courage to step out from your comfort zone and attempt a song in a difficult language like Bengali.
You have covered this in your own style…so will not try and compare Kishoreda’s rendition with yours. I would say based on the turnaround time….this is an excellent attempt….based on the degree of difficulty….keep singing and post frequently:)))

Hey Harshan … its all too much man … if I sit here trying to sing like Kishore I will be here till teh cows come home!. I just went for it… hope I didn’t make up my own words in my comfort zone…haha. Of course I think combined with diction and style it is my own recipe I think!. Sorry man if I disappointed!.
Thanks all the same as I wanted to sing something!.

Thanks Kaushik … glad it brought a smile to you … I can myself feel slight issues here and there … topped with lingo issues!. Anyways I enjoyed it … felt like I knew what I was doing … strange!.
Priya … thanks … I don’t understand the meaning too, so that makes two of us!. Would appreciate if someone could tell me what this means!. Cheers.

well done Arvind. Singing in a language other than your mother tongue is always a very very big challenge. You did a very good job. I liked it.
