Can’t help but notice that there is a particular style of feedback commentary emerging in our spaces that borders on verbal diarrhoea!. These emanate from a certain group of similar speaking IDs, that DOES NOT contribute any music to this website, but nevertheless rambles on and on about how much they love music and about how selective they are in listening and giving feedback to ‘good singers’!. The style of commentary seems to proclaim that they are self-annointed lovers and gurus of music and given a chance I think they would love to moderate this website!.

The purpose of me starting this discussion is to pass my view on this type of bizarre commentary. I find it totally fake and parochial and very narrow minded in so far as to pick out a few singers for abnormal praise and indirectly chiding the rest as dispensable. I say to these IDs, “Upload your music or simply sit back and enjoy the music and keep your comments to bare minimum!”. No need to go out of your way to proclaim your virtuous intent and giving abundant funny-sounding fake praise. This is all pretty futile and stupid and very narrow minded and will not go far. This is a good website with some seriously good performers and free exchange of genuine feedback. There is no place for silly rambling comments from people who are not musicians and who do not contribute anything worthwhile.

My message to my fellow musician friends in Muziboo is this: Simply delete such ramblings from your spaces in future, to send the clear message that we do not need such IDs wandering among us like lost ghosts!. In this case I firmly believe that deleting is the best medicine. There are enough genuine musicians on this website to keep each other motivated and we do not need this outer nonsense!.

With this I close this opening discussion and thank you for reading it.

Subbu … Yes I agree that in an open forum there are likely to be funny ones. My message is simply to delete those funny ones and don’t give them any space. I sense that it is some kind of factional game and not genuine. In fact what prompted me to start this discussion was bcos one of those IDs wrote me a long rambling email basically asking me to write nice things about some people, or else there will be no one commenting for me!. I found this indirect threat to be quite immature and factional. Hence I have taken it upon myself to express my view and warn others of fake praises and self proclaimers!. People have a wonderful option and should exercise it … THE DELETE AND BLOCK OPTION!. This is my simple message. Thanks for your response Subbu … you are a wonderfully genuine guy here I have come to know and incidental thanks to Muziboo for that!.

Great thread Arvind. I have been really enjoying watching these ids go choke and cry over the past few months. I had also indicated this to some of my close friends on this site. The first thing which struck me is the way these ids comment, they have a similar story with a similar narrative …which made be believe that these ids do not belong to discrete individuals ….but its just 1 person in disguise and playing around with words ….if you have sharp senses …you can catch that :-)
If I am that id …this is the way it will read….
We all came to read your discussion Arvind, my brother my saviour ….I am choking as I am reading your thread …tears are falling down my cheek as I read this ….(sorry but they are crocodile tears :-). Only you can write such discussion on this site…We always like good discussion my child …in fact my enitre family is reading this as I write …we are so proud of you to be on this site…god bless dear……:-)

Personally I will weep buckets to see them go away ….but offcourse those will be tears of joy !!!!

Arvind gee!!!!

ROTFL…. Aptly termed – Verbal Diarrhoea…. Am really happy that I could find some like-minded people with the same line of thinking here in Muziboo. I cannot stay tight-lipped when I have every right to rant and vent out what has been fuming in. Mind you – I have been a victim as many around here are aware of that.

We should feel proud to have got united through music and thanks to Muziboo for flocking many music lovers and singers together here. I would like to thank Muziboo at this juncture. And we have been given a chance to appreciate and encourage the amateurish talents here – hope most of us are amateurs. Given such an opportunity does not mean that we can take people for a ride and subsequently make them frustrated making the scenario awry. Thats what is happening these days completely shaking things here in Muziboo. According to me, people can exchange/share their views, ideas, techniques etc and hone their skills. As I always harp, ‘Develop fellowship. Hone your skills’ I try to advocate the same. But the soaring number of the anonymous ids without a single post in the respective spaces had forced me to get on to my back-foot and I have got no other option to stay as an on-looker. I used to be impulsive in retaliating to such blunt comments which dont have any consideration at all for the efforts taken, time spent and the hard-work put. But later found out that those comments were targetting a few to demoralise them eventually. Right to comment is handled differently by people here. When they have the right to comment which are unjust, I say to myself, ‘Come on!! Get your sleeves rolled and pay them back with your next venture’ Am not asking you to to follow this. LOL. But groupism is prevalent nowadays and it is pandemic. Nothing can be done. If you have a glance over my previous comments and posts, I have been telling the same what u just penned down.

Verbal Diarrhoe may lead to hallucination which would catapult them to aberration and eventually……. phew. We cant help it. But am glad that you have a heart-felt concern for these people. One small suggestion – let those anonymous users frequent our spaces and throw-off their tantrum and frustration. We are here ready to help them out to overcome their mental turbulence. Am atleast happy that my renditions help them in a way. :-)

Addendum is that these anonymous users start off their proceedings trumpeting their stand like these – ‘Am not a ghost as others think here. Am in search of good music and if I find some, I would say I like it. If not, I would tell them honestly to make them improve’. LOL. Whats the use in giving feedback which seems to be so stringent and biased? I again reiterate – giving pats first and then pointing out the flaws or zones of improvement would have the real effect originally intended. Let us start a thread to help these people understand that and they should also be given a chance. :-) Think am getting influenced and infected by Verbal diarrhoe here.

“Allowing an unimportant mistake to pass without comment is a wonderful social grace” I belive this and let us not mind those comments flooding out of groupism, favouritsm and of course sarcasm. Thats it from me. Hope u can understand what I tried to say. :-)

Thanks & Regards,
RAJ
