@Anu- you have got that real IR kinda voice, very soulful….was so reminded of doordarshan and oliyum oLiyum :) Just felt some glides could be better (kaadhal is one such place), and endings could be a trifle smoother? Some of your minute brigas were very effortless (varaamale et al)

@kaushik-perfect choice of voice for this one…Very pleasant. Thought vaasam ( hitting that highest note there) could have been better. Nonetheless, not an easy song wrt traversing the notes I am sure :)

Mixwise, felt Anu’s settings were slightly sharper than yours. Also-hers was more present, thought you could brighten your vocals as well.

Overall, very pleasant hear! Liked….

Yes you are on the dot about vaasam… the scale was too high for my comfort and moreover I have a done a straight one shot take…

You are equally right about the mixing of voices… mainly due to the vast difference in our respective recording gears… also my relative inexperience in the areas of mixing :P

Nice one guys and has come out nice I thought.

Kaushik – nice handle on the tune with comfortable brigas. Betterment area I would say is cutting out the drag in some phrases and singing it a bit more snappy to give the romantic effect more.

Anu – Nice rendition but voice was a bit boxed in due to recording setup I think. “Naan undhan Poomaalai” could have been better I thought. Otherwise quite expressively rendered. Only wished that your recording was more open.

Very good song to have in one’s bag of cover goodies!. Both of you should feel proud!.
