Regarding the mix, I had tried to add a little harshness to the vocals using whatever little mixing knowledge I have, but I wasn’t impressed. So in the end decided to upload the ‘softer’ version. Anways, let me play around a little more and see what I can do to improve the vocals. Thanks again for dropping by!

Nicely done man. Your voice sounded fresh. Loved it! I think you got the feel right too. There were a few slips (jaha jaha rakho…., titiliyo……. etc). I am sure you know what they are. But overall this is definitely your best.

Hey Anirban,
you’ve got a good voice. But to be super-critical, some of the notes are sounding slightly off! You might want to fix that. This song is melodius, but really simple.
Way back in 1999, I had the opportunity of practicing this song with Abhijit himself. But we never performed it on stage. Though I have played this song with other groups on stage.

You have a nice youthful voice and good delivery. This is the first I am hearing you and thanks for inviting me to listen to you. Much appreciated.
A good job overall and I liked it and it was soothing for the ears! Here are some pointers to better your performance, in my opinion:
- try to develop your lower bass registers more by using your chest more if possible.
- I found ths start of your antharas to be slightly off key … this needs to be corrected.
- Lastly, when you end a line you tend to let your volume drop like a fade away. There is no need to do that … you should sustain and let the word be heard clearly and hold pitch is possible.
Great job and look forward to more songs in your nice voice soon.

Anirban, Though this song was superbly rendered by you, I’ll have to agree with Satyajit and Soumitra on the fallouts. I’m pretty sure you can better this one by listening to the original a few more times. Your feel was superb but the throw of a few words, I felt, could have been bettered which would enhance the rendition and would have taken it to another level. The word is not ‘KI’ aarzoo jagau, it’s ‘KE’, just to mention one. Don’t get me wrong, Anirban, I liked your rendition a lot and hence this long note, to encourage you to do even better.
